MissionInsite — A demographic resource

One of the first steps in transforming or growing a church is knowing the context of the church community. Community demographics shift over time and if a church doesn’t recognize that shift and develop new ministries to appeal to the changing demographics, the church will have a very slim chance of growing. Finding out the reality of who is in our community may be shocking and even perhaps uncomfortable, but it is invaluable and necessary for successful ministry.

The Congregational Transformation Team has contracted with Missioninsite, one of the foremost demographic research companies in the world. Missioninsite provides congregations a cost-effective, innovative system that includes:

  1. High-quality demographic research (Who is my neighbor?)
  2. Real-time congregant analysis (Where do the current members live and what is their demographic?)
  3. Easy-to-use web-based discovery tools (How does my congregation and the community match up … or not?)
  4. Mosaic profiles (What types of outreach and ministries would be the most effective for building the Kingdom in our community?)

All of this information is available at no cost for each congregation in the Nebraska Conference.
